Valaam Island (#club100)

Hello friends!!!
Today let's enjoy the beautiful scenery from the holy island of Valaam. This island is located in Karelia, in the north-west of Russia.
There is an ancient monastery on this island, which is now visited by thousands of tourists and pilgrims. Surprisingly, in a harsh climate and with the absence of fertile soil, monks have been growing fruits, vegetables and berries since ancient times.
I was there with an excursion when I visited Karelia. You can also see me in the first photo, although I don't often get into the photos myself)
There is surprisingly clean air filled with the smells of herbs and pines. I tried to photograph as much as possible there, but unfortunately our time on the island was limited and it was not possible to choose a route in detail. We went everywhere with guides who told the history of the island and the history of its development by people.
