in Steemit Iron Chef6 days ago

Hello friends..

Today I came to the bakery course LC-S22W24 and this is the homework for the Semi-sweet breads with savory filling lesson. I actually learned how to make bakery items from this lesson series. So now this experience is not new to me and I would like to answer the relevant questions based on this lesson and the knowledge I have gained. So I really hope this goes well and I thank @yenny47 and @teacher for bringing us such valuable lessons.

🥐Why can't yeast and salt be added together when preparing bread dough? Explain your answer (1pt).

In fact, if we talk about the effect of salt on yeast, because of salt, the organisms of yeast start to die.
Salt is hydrophilic, meaning it readily absorbs water around it. The effect is that the salt tends to steal moisture from the yeast molecules and causes a brief slowdown in the activity of the yeast microorganism.

So it is always better to mix the salt with other ingredients like flour before we add it to the yeast.
It is recommended to mix it with sugar to get proper fermentation of yeast and it helps the yeast to ferment faster.

🥐Make a semi-sweet bread with a SALTY filling. You can follow the recipe given in class, or you can make one of your choice, but the dough must be semi-sweet with a SALTY filling. (Ham, cheese, chicken, meat, etc.) Document the step by step, and accompany it with a poster with the date, user, and the class label bakerys22w4 (4pts)

SAVORY FISH BUN

INGREDIENTS (for dough )

1000016941.jpg

🥖500 g of all-purpose wheat flour
🥖3 tablespoons melted butter
🥖3 tablespoons of sugar
🥖125 ml warm milk
🥖7 grams of salt
🥖1 egg

INGREDIENTS (for filling )

1000015903.jpg

🥖Fish 200g
🥖Onions 2(medium size)
🥖salt 1/2 tsp
🥖Oil 3 tbsp
🥖Papper 1tsp
🥖chilly flecks 1tsp

METHOD

  • The first step in making the dough we do is ferment the yeast. The photo below shows how I can be sure that the yeast has fermented well and that our dough is not damaged.

1000016968.jpg

  • For that, I used a tablespoon of sugar in 50 ml of lukewarm water, mixed it well and added 1 teaspoon of dry yeast.

  • Then add sugar, eggs, milk, yeast solution, butter and salt to wheat flour and mix until evenly mixed.

1000016969.jpg

  • Then, knead it until it becomes soft.
Then cover it with a clean cloth and leave it for about 1 hour.

1000016970.jpg

  • Then separate it into small parts and thin the dough with the help of a roller pin.

1000016971.jpg

  • Then put the filling in the middle and fold it like a triangle as seen in the photo.

1000016972.jpg

  • Then put it in the baking tray and leave it for another 1/2 rest. After that, wash the bun egg and bake it at 180c° for 25 minutes. As soon as the bun is taken out of the oven, apply melted butter to get a good finish.

🥐In your country, what is the most popular bread with a savory filling, and what drink is usually served with it? Include photos of this traditional bread (2pts)

The most popular buns consumed in Sri Lanka are s fish buns and sini sambola buns. It is easily found in any bakery shop, restaurant or cafe and is a great choice for quick hunger pangs.

1000016974.jpg

Also we love to enjoy these buns at any time of the day. The sweet savory combination is very delicious. And it costs more than Rs.80 (steem 0.93).It is affordable so every person can enjoy it.

Usually the beverage we take with it is a strong milk tea. It really fills our hunger instantly. A perfect combination that satisfies and is the ultimate energy booster.

🥐If you had the opportunity to invite a foreign user to eat a stuffed bread, who would you choose and what bread would you invite him? The user must be a foreigner and just tagging will be fine, if you use a photo of him you remember to give him the credit of the image (3pts)

The favorite semi sweet savory bun that I suggest to my steemit friend is the papper chicken bun. It is a delicious dish with chiken in the middle of a soft, delicious bun. It has a perfect combination of flavors and I'm sure my friend will love its delicious taste. So I would like to invite my friend @blessedlife from Venezuela to try this delightful experience. These buns are easy to find at any local bakery and I invite her to visit Sri Lanka someday to enjoy these unique Sri Lankan treats.

Through this baking course, I learned to bake confidently at home by learning the right recipes and techniques and spread the joy of this freshly baked savory bun made just for my dear Steemian friend, to share my homemade baked treats with her someday.

THANK YOU..

I invite @cryptopie @jyoti-thelight and @vishwara to participate.
