Battle of Flavors: Hot Foods vs. Cold Foods

Based on the wise proverb that says that there is no accounting for taste I try never to argue with anyone about what food and in what form I mean its composition and temperature conditions whether it is better or worse it is unproductive.

But I am always interested in talking about food and after seeing the competition the link to which you will see at the bottom of this post I decided to share my preferences and some thoughts about what food is preferable for me cold or hot.

Most likely, having seen the first photo of this post you will immediately understand that I prefer cold appetizers and the more of them and the more varied they are the better but not everything is so clear-cut.

Yes, there was a time when I did without hot soups and other hot dishes but my wife instilled in me a love for them when I was in my thirties, and twenty years later I happily eat borscht and meat gravy.

But my love for cold appetizers has not evaporated, I love to eat and cook them.

These can be various kinds of sandwiches meat salads spreads on bread smoked poultry meat and fish cheeses and other goodies.

Life is full of mysteries and in order to get tasty cold appetizers products need to be introduced to the heat of a fire or smoke.

The method of hot smoking on alder and beech sawdust, which I use, speaks for itself, it is hot.

Such products can be eaten immediately after smoking it is delicious but it would be better to let the product cool and dry out a little it will be absolutely fabulously delicious.

But when I have a barbecue and let the meat and vegetables bathe in the heat of the coals I like such food only hot straight from the fire it is much juicier and more aromatic shashlik.

I treat food based on the principle of tasty or not tasty and do not think about how the food affects the weight and obesity of the one who eats it it is more pleasant to enjoy the goodies.

I was born in Moldova where the traditional cuisine is very rich in all kinds of meat and vegetable dishes cold and hot even soups can be hot like zama and cold like okroshka and kholdoets from a rooster is probably one of the coldest dishes that have previously been subjected to long heat treatment.
