The diary game. A Day Rooted in Morning Prayers, Office Commitments, and Orchard Reflections
Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.
As I am an early bird, I got up very early in the morning. I naturally wake up without even an alarm, but to my help, the birds living in the vicinity usually start chirping on the open windows and the balcony of my house. I became a little restless, got up, and then performed ablution to purify myself for the morning prayers, which I usually prefer to perform in the nearby mosque, and today again, I did the same. I spent a good one and a half hours in the mosque, and during that time, I felt peace, positivity, and prosperity that lasted throughout the day. Offering the morning prayers early helps me stay positive and peaceful, maintain composure, and face challenges with a positive attitude.
After finishing the prayers, I headed back home and straightaway got into some gardening work, which has become a habit for me. I usually prefer to spend some early morning time in the garden to keep it well-maintained and protect it from weeds or other agents that may deteriorate its appearance. I watered the lawn and placed different flower pots in various spots. After that, I went for a walk towards the orchard, broke a sweat, and burned enough excess calories. The morning walk helps me in several ways – it makes me sweat, helps burn calories, keeps me active, and also gives me a chance to inspect the orchard.
A little later, I returned home and went straight into the dining room where I joined my parents, who were already waiting for me to have breakfast together. After finishing breakfast, I had to leave for the office. Meanwhile, my mother asked me to shift some boxes from the backyard to the storeroom to keep them cool and prevent them from deteriorating. Only after finishing this work did I leave for the office. While I was walking out of the house, I encountered a large herd of sheep. Their caretakers are shifting them these days from the northeastern mountains to settle in the western areas, closer to the Jammu region, as there is very little or no snowfall during winters and maintaining these herds of sheep is quite easy there. It was a large herd and took time to cross, and I was already late for the office, as it usually takes me just half an hour to reach there, and any delay at any moment from the time I leave affects my punctuality.
Upon reaching the office, I straightaway got into my usual work. My colleague had already arrived and was waiting for me after his first call, enquiring about my whereabouts. It only took me 10 more minutes to reach after his call, and we straightaway got to work. I didn’t move from my place until the afternoon, by which time we had finished half of our target. I returned home and, upon reaching, didn’t take any rest this time. After just having a cup of tea, I left straight for the orchard where we haven’t harvested yet as the apples were not fully ripe a few days ago. I enjoyed my time there in the orchard, as it’s quite pleasing to look at the apples and realize how much hard work we’ve put in throughout the year and how the crop reflects that effort.
Later, I returned home and it was already evening. As I had nothing important to do, I checked some records. People had come with gifts and garlands during my brother’s wedding, and as part of our tradition, we need to maintain a record of these gifts and garlands to reciprocate during their weddings or other ceremonies. Dinner was served around 9:30 PM. After dinner, I usually spend a good amount of time on social media, and today it was a bit longer than usual. I went to sleep around 12:30 AM after scrolling through reels on Instagram and chatting with my old friends.
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
