The Diary Game: 18.08.2025 | A Day at Rangpur Lab Aid for a Health Checkup

Yesterday, one of my younger brothers booked an appointment with a colorectal surgeon at Rangpur Lab Aid Diagnostic Center. Since I also needed a follow-up checkup after my colonoscopy a few months ago, I asked him to take an appointment for me as well so that we could visit together. Thankfully, he managed to arrange both appointments.

The doctor we were going to meet is a professor and the head of the colorectal surgery division. His chamber hours are from 4 pm to 8 pm. My brother and I decided to travel to Rangpur around noon. We boarded the train just before 1 pm and reached Rangpur at around 2 pm.

After spending some time at Rangpur Railway Station, we took an auto-rickshaw to the Lab Aid Diagnostic Center. Once there, we had to wait for quite a while, as the doctor arrived later than usual. He finally came to his chamber after 5 pm. By then, the waiting area was already crowded with patients. It was surprising for me to see how many people are dealing with colorectal issues—something I wouldn’t have realized if I hadn’t come myself.

As evening approached, it was finally our turn to meet the doctor. He listened carefully to my concerns, reviewed my colonoscopy report, and then prescribed the necessary medicines. My younger brother, on the other hand, was relieved and happy since the doctor assured him that he didn’t have any major health issues. Overall, it was a long but important day for both of us.

After finishing everything in Rangpur, we went to the railway station, planning to return home by train. But unfortunately, the train was running very late. Instead of waiting, we decided to take the bus to our hometown.
Before leaving, we grabbed some snacks to recharge ourselves. My younger brother hadn’t eaten anything since lunch because of his doctor’s appointment, so the evening snacks were really important for him. I also joined in and enjoyed some sweets and spicy puffed rice.
Finally, we got on the bus and reached home around 10 PM. It was a long and busy day, but filled with little moments that made it memorable.
My diary ends here. May everyone be healthy and safe by the grace of Allah. I will try to share my activities with you for the next day.
