Greetings Splendid Individuals

I am excited to join the an interesting contest on Importance Of Hydration In Summer" by @abdullahw2. Everybody’s aware that summer equals high temperature, too much sweating and consequently greater risk of dehydration. Keeping yourself well-hydrated at this time of year is not only a matter of importance, it is a matter of course in maintaining good health. As a proponent of self-care and wellness, particularly in the scorching months, I find it important to continue to educate folks about the importance of water when it comes to regulating body temperature, aiding in the proper function of key internal organs, and keeping us active and energized. Continue reading as I am going to discuss my insights and experiences in this blog post why Hydration is at the top of the list!

In the summer, with the temperature soaring and the sun beating down on us – we lose a lot of fluids through sweat. I have even experienced for myself how quick we become tired, dizzy or even have headache from not drinking enough water in the heat. Unlike winter or other less intense seasons in summer we sweat more, which means we are more prone to dehydration. And not only does this leave an impact on the amount of energy we have; it also strains the heart, kidneys and body as a whole. Which makes me feel all the more responsible for increasing our water intake during this season to keep us cool, fresh and healthy. Whether we’re inside or heading out for errands or a trip, I always have this water bottle on hand during the summer — really, it’s such a small habit, but it really makes a big difference.

How much water do you try to drink daily in the summer? Do you follow any routine?.

During the summer months I aim for at least 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. As I have urinary infection, being hydrated has become more important for me. I want to keep flushing toxins and pain out. I don’t wait to get thirsty I drink water at set intervals. I drink the juices and liquids to keep fresh and hydrated. I wake up and have a glass of water and then before every meal. I keep a water bottle with me all the time, at home or on the go. This little routine not only helps me with my health issue, but it makes me feel more lively and on the move especially in hot summer weather.

What are your favorite hydrating foods, drinks or beverages during hot weather?

During summer, I naturally want something light and refreshing to drink to help cool down my body. One of my absolute favorite things is watermelon—it is sweet, juicy, and mostly water, which screams summer. I also really enjoy cucumbers and toss them in salads or eat them for a quick snack. My favorite drink is coconut water. It’s hydrating but it’s also natural electrolytes, good for recovery and good for energy. I also love mint lemonade water with a hint of salt, especially when I’ve been in the sun this is incredibly cool and instantly invigorating. Homemade fruit juices too like orange or mango juice are amongst my favorite, but I am always careful not to load it up with sugar. They’re tiny things that help keep me cool and constantly hydrated in summer and I actually look forward to incorporating them into my daily regimen.

How dehydration affects our body? And how to overcome that situation?

From personal experience, I’ve learned that dehydration can be a serious issue for our body, particularly in the scorching summer heat. We’re getting uncomfortable: When we’re not properly hydrated, we can start to feel fatigued, we can start feeling a little dizzy, we can even start getting a headache. I've experienced how tired I get, even in my ability to concentrate, when I don't consume enough water. “Dehydration also affects the skin — it’ll be dull and lifeless.” In my own case, fighting a urinary infection, I’ve found that dehydration can aggravate pain and discomfort.

The most basic and crucial way to fend off dehydration is drinking plenty of water, not just when we feel thirsty but throughout the day. I also include hydrating fruits such as watermelon and oranges, and drinks such as coconut water and lemon water. When it’s stupidly hot, I won’t even lay down in the shade, or mooch around out of the sun along the ground floor. It’s also best to avoid caffeinated or sugary beverages, which can contribute to dehydration. And I’ve found that by developing little habits, such as having a water bottle with me and setting reminders, I can ward off dehydration and feel far more energetic and healthier to boot.

Conclusion

Hydration in the summer is important for keeping a fit body, particularly when we lose so much more fluid in the heat. By having enough liquids, water, and drinking hydrating foods ensure we stay energetic, cool and we prevent indeed from many health issues such as dehydration and urinary infections. Establishing a regular routine of drinking water will have a large impact on how we feel during the hot months.
