Memorable tradition reminds us who we are together
Feel the air , slightly dry in autumn season. The climate is also not so cozy. Golden light shines through old trees around. Hands work slowly, making something beautiful. In Sakkar, our quiet village, this happens each year. We call it "Bahrana rally."
It is more than just an event. This old tradition is our village's most awaited event. It has joined us for hundreds of years. It connects our past to today.
The Bahrana rally starts each fall. Villagers gather thin tree branches. They come from the old trees in village. These branches are golden and bend easily. They make a bunch of these branches. They make them into lanterns that look like baskets.
Each lantern holds a small, warm fire inside. It comes from one big fire. People believe it holds old memories and warmth.
The bunching of trees is slow and quiet. Families work together. They make their lanterns side-by-side. When night falls, the finished lanterns move. People carry them quietly. Their soft light shows Sakkar's old paths and homes.
The lanterns go around the village center. They burn softly all night long. This custom honors the harvest. It is about remembering things. It also shows light gently passing. It brings great peace and makes us feel like one.
It truly links Sakkar's people to their landsoil. It also links them to each other. The fire in lanterns softly glow. Their gentle glow creates a magic scene. This old way reminds us who we are together.

Family customs are always very comforting to repeat, if they are done with love and respect.
Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving your valuable comment.
I am excited to participate in such a touching contests in Steemit platform. These traditions are more than just old ways. They help us build strong communities. They also set rules for how to live right.
Keeping these traditions alive saves a rich past. This past can guide our young people. This past makes our shared human story better.

Thank you for reading here!
I recommend that you give the comments a little more writing, because this is also a contest for comments and you are not expressing anything just by saying thank you. Try to explain a little more in your answers about your beautiful tradition, or ask something about the commenter who writes to you.
I wish you success.

That error in my username is in the translation.
The customs of the towns are about unity and strengthening ties.
I like that this tradition makes them gather in groups to honor the crops, an important fact to maintain life.
Thank you.
If it comes to laterns, fire, light, wishing balloons, firework, it feels it's all a bit the same no matter where we are or live. Time to "scare" away the old ghosts (memories) and room for something new, better.
NOTE
The contest is hosted by @gertu. Who is @near?
That error in my username always accompanies translations. I don't understand why.
It is not just the fact of carrying lamps, lighting them and etc., it is a belief that there is unity in families. It is also that the fact of having the food that gives them life is appreciated.
They meet and do a ritual that feeds their minds with optimism, that is the greatness of a people.
