RE: Team Truecolours 06: Curation Report For Week #1 [August 2025]

many are afraid to try something new,

It's true. I want to add that they made it system. When I came here, I was about to write an SEO-friendly article by following some steps I learned before joining here. Like, an impressive intro, makes the article with a subheading, and the subheading was also a keyword. But, I saw everyone start their article like,

Hi, I am Akib. I am from Bangladesh.....

I was like, then why will I spend time on making an intro? Just go like that!

That start you mentioned showed up at a certain moment. I assume some community instructed people to do it. I tried a billion times to explain to people that mentioning this is annoying and Steemit already shows their names and the first lines typed show.

It's the same for: source... Made with Canva... have a look at the list with posts .. the pictures and the first sentences shown.

I am afraid it will not change. Old habits are hard to kill especially if the largest group has no clue what creativity looks like. They are drilled to all use the same phrases, the same template and told that only if they work that way they will be rewarded.

The question is: how many out of them will pay to read a post and if so which one are they willing to pay for since that is what we all should ask ourselves. Why is what we write worth that upvote.

Why is what we write worth that upvote.

This is the point. We should ask ourself, is my article worth it?
