RE: Team Truecolours 06: Curation Report For Week #1 [August 2025]
We curated posts through the tags of our theme. The tags: art - drawing - crafts - ccc are the top of the list plus steemexclusive.
This is what I loved most. Instead of "Diarygame", your team choose real creativity. I wish all SC nominated curator will focus on that too.
It is disappointing to see that many Steemians/countries are not rewarded on Steemit, and most rewards go to the same people repeatedly. It is made clear daily that the ask for "good content" and "creativity" are just hollow words. Combined with the lack of engagement in comments, Steemit falls short as a social media platform that has something special to offer.
I saw last month, Team Europe also told it louder. I hope Steemit Team will notice that.

Thank you for mentioning me as Talented. Though I feel I don’t have much talent. Thank you again.
Si no tuvieras, no te hubiésemos escogido, jeje.
Jeje.
Now I know a few Latin words.
Jajaja.
Well, True Colours says it since I started with it a year ago. A lot has changed during that year.
If you read what the SC teams stand for or better vote for, you will notice they all go for something or certain people.
Art, creativity isn't really in it and not rewarded or rewarding. This is what people literally told me as I started the community Art and Artists. If you are on Steemit for the money, you do as told and go where everyone goes, where you make a chance to be rewarded.
If it comes to thediarygame. It once started to help people write, but after all those years, many of those writers didn't improve. It's sad, but it is as it is. The SC team for the diary game hasn't existed for months still people don't move on and many are afraid to try something new, even if it's not rewarding (not that these posts aren't rewarded).
If you ask me those who write a diary can also write a text, change the title and try to be noticed, make a difference. There's plenty to share and there are so many skilled people who can make this platform so much richer.
Thanks for commenting
It's true. I want to add that they made it system. When I came here, I was about to write an SEO-friendly article by following some steps I learned before joining here. Like, an impressive intro, makes the article with a subheading, and the subheading was also a keyword. But, I saw everyone start their article like,
I was like, then why will I spend time on making an intro? Just go like that!

That start you mentioned showed up at a certain moment. I assume some community instructed people to do it. I tried a billion times to explain to people that mentioning this is annoying and Steemit already shows their names and the first lines typed show.
It's the same for: source... Made with Canva... have a look at the list with posts .. the pictures and the first sentences shown.
I am afraid it will not change. Old habits are hard to kill especially if the largest group has no clue what creativity looks like. They are drilled to all use the same phrases, the same template and told that only if they work that way they will be rewarded.
The question is: how many out of them will pay to read a post and if so which one are they willing to pay for since that is what we all should ask ourselves. Why is what we write worth that upvote.
This is the point. We should ask ourself, is my article worth it?
