A friend of mine is a psychologist and every now and then we will have a discussion about how almost all adult behavior can be traced back to childhood experiences. This is especially true for children that grow up in single parent households and some of the statistics are very shocking such as how people are something like 6x as likely to go to prison at some point in their lives if they grew up not knowing their fathers. I don't have any children but that is a worrying statistic indeed.
