Indeed there are different teams. Important there it is that one can work together and count on another. The average football team will not have a high score if the players all do as they like and are not willing to give the ball to another player.
I wonder about the family as a team. I rarely see that every family member is doing his/her share although that would be the best (right now my son cooks which gives me time to comment LOL).
If it all doesn't work out (work is a very good example) the best way is indeed to stop struggling and go separate ways. Plenty of other to build a team with.

That's right, each team member must do their part, otherwise there are many options to form a new one. I think it's great that your son supports you, work at home is exhausting.
