So many beautiful photos from yesterday’s trip to Watcom Falls, I wanted to share a few more with you my friends!☺️
I am sure many of you, have no idea what “WPA Works Progress Administration” stands for……………
It was some of the worst of times for our Country, we were going through the “Great Depression”!🙄
Many able-bodied men and women were out of work………
President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in May 6, 1935 created the WPA.
Its goal was to put American workers back to work!
Eighty five plus years later, this stone bridge and the retaining walls, are still in excellent condition!
Numerous peekaboo half circle openings on the bridge, show an up close look at the quality of the stonework.
These Masons weren’t just interested in putting some much needed money in there pockets, they were proud to be building something that would stand the test of time!💪
With Summer just around the corner, be sure to make time to step outside and explore!🤗
It’s much too easy for everyone including Silvertop, to sit in front of the computer all day………😇
