Heavy rains came pouring down today, and still the river looks low……🤔
On a less than ideal day to hike, I searched on my iPhone for the latest updates for Hurricane Milton……….
As of 7 PM Eastern Standard Time, this Hurricane has regained to a category 5, and is 320 miles off the coast of Florida moving at 9 mph!
They say it will likely hit Florida as a category 3.
This sounds better…….but the local weather forecasters were quick to point out that hurricane Katrina made landfall also as a category 3 hurricane!😮
The most likely location of this storm hitting Florida is Tampa Bay, that includes the Everglades, and is situated at a very low elevation. The storm surge is predicted to be 10-15 feet above sea level, and this can be the most dangerous, and damaging!😳
I -75 the main highway running North/South, is clogged with cars after mandatory evacuation orders………
Wednesday evening is approximately when the hurricane will landfall.
More heavy rains came pouring down in the Pacific Northwest as I typed today’s post……….
That’s OK, Cot and PEPE were staying safe and dry, INSIDE today!😻🐸
Today the Oceanfront along our town was calm…..as always!
We are protected by the numerous San Juan Islands, and the straight of Juan Da Fuca from the extreme effects of storms!😇
Nothing stands in the way of Hurricane Milton…………………
