'Shrooms!🍄🟫🍁 🍄🟫........... NW Cascade Wanderings
Nope! Those are definitely NOT ‘shrooms, but it is a picture looking eastward of the night sky. It was possibly a night to see the Aurora Borealis, but although we went out at a couple of different times, no such luck. I was hoping for another display like we had earlier this year, but it was not to be. Who knows… we may never get another show like that in my lifetime!
@silvertop needed to order some metal roofing and also needed a couple of items for the woodshed project. I needed some things as well, so today turned into a shopping day. First stop was Builder’s Alliance for the roofing. Then we decided to hit Walmart prior to Home Depot because of not wanting to leave a 10’ item in the back of the truck while in Walmart. The neighborhood in which the store is located is not the best. Then afterwards, we went to Home Depot.
Of course, any trip to Bellingham requires a stop at the Lynden Starbucks. I ordered my usual, but also an 8 ounce pumpkin spice latte. I’ve only had pumpkin spice once and years ago. It wasn’t a good experience. However today’s was much better. I had it made with milk, rather than my usual coconut milk (I don’t drink cow’s milk as it’s not good for me to do so) just in case I hated it. Then @silvertop could have it. Turns out it wasn’t too bad, but due to my milk intolerance, I only drank half. 🎃
Anyway, I found several ‘shrooms growing in our yard. I love to photograph them as the things you can see are not usually what you normally see. It’s interesting to me. Enjoy!
Imagine being small enough to take refuge under one of them in a rainstorm. Sounds like the beginning of a children’s storybook to me!
This next picture is of Wiser Lake; a lake we pass by on the way to Lynden from Bellingham. A beautiful view!

That’s gonna be it for now. Tomorrow finds me heading to ladies Bible study. It’s been two weeks since I’ve been able to make it. I’ll have two weeks and then work will interfere for two weeks before I can attend again. 😔 Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏
