Happy Caturday everybody! 😻
Today was the day! I was going to brave venturing out into the masses and try to begin my Christmas shopping! I was hoping perhaps everyone had gotten the beginning of the Christmas shopping season out of their systems. My first stop was a locally owned business called Connections, which is a Christian book store, but with so much more! I was looking for a Bible for our daughter who had requested one. I found the perfect one and left it to be personalized. I told them I’d be back in the afternoon to pick it up.
I headed to Starbucks for some morning brew as our espresso machine was on its last leg. I can remember around 2000, I purchased a Mr. Coffee 15 bar pump machine that lasted 8 years! It was only $50! Nowadays, they’re almost twice as much or more and I’m lucky if we get a year out of them. 😏 I found a leftover Black Friday espresso machine while out and purchased that. We’ll see how long this one makes it. I’ll grant you that at least 4-6 espresso drinks per day are made in our household but seriously, is there some magic number where after so many, they automatically break?
I had quite a few stops to make and one of them was the local mall. They are definitely decked out for Christmas!

As I was shopping, I always buy gifts for the ‘grand dog and grand kitties’. Phoenix so loved her turkey we got her back in September. I can hear her playing with it when we’re on the phone with Bill. It has a definitive sound. So today, I looked for another doggie toy of the same brand and found…….
…..the chicken! Now she’ll have two types of fowl to play with! I hope she like the chicken as much as she likes the turkey!
I found catnip mice and a tri-blend of catnip for Ember and Banjo. I’m sure they’ll love that! 😻
The afternoon rounded out heading back to the bookstore to pick up the Bible and then another run through Starbucks for afternoon refueling and to take one home to @silvertop, as he was banned from going today. 🎅🎁🎄
