Goodness, Gracious............. NW Cascade Wanderings
……great balls of fire!
I had work today, but more on that in a minute. It was after work when things got interesting. 🧐
We’ve had nothing but torrential rain today. So much so that I asked the doc if he had a boat to get home in, lol! Anyway, just as I was leaving for the day and heading to the post office, the evening sun was peaking between layers of clouds. The light was beautiful and in driving towards the post office, I wanted nothing more than to turn the opposite direction so I could bask in the light.
As I made my way towards home and began my ascent into the foothills, the light was very odd. In places, there was such crispness to the light as it shone on trees, buildings and the mountains. Very dark in the shadowy areas and very bright with a light orange cast to it. Once I got home, I jumped out of the car to shoot that first photo. If you didn’t know any better, you might think I was looking at a forest fire! I’ve never seen the sky like this in the 25 years we’ve lived here. What’s more, the clouds were moving incredibly fast as well! This next photo is in the same direction but the hole where you can barely see a little blue sky isn’t the result of the little light area in the first photo.
It was beautiful! 🤩
So-back to work; it was a busy day. I had lots of orders and patients to process. Even though tomorrow is a lighter appointment day, I have enough other work that literally could fill up the entire day. Only thing is, I have about 4-ish hours to accomplish 8+ hours of work! Plus then, I’ll have more added to it. 🙃
I have plants at work as I enjoy them and they’re nice to look at.
This philodendron likes to climb and has attached itself to the wall and continues to grow and find new places to roam.
I used to know the name of this plant but can’t recall it just now and am too lazy to go looking. It’s blooming!
@silversaver888, this one’s for you! I have an orchid that I purchased close to 10 years ago. It’s grown many leaves, but has never bloomed since the original blooms it had when I first got it. Now however……..
….it has blessed me with the promise of orchid flowers in the near future! I’m so excited as I’ve never had one bloom on its own before. I will be keeping you apprised of its progress!
Here’s some Hoof Fungus that kind of looks like stones.
I find it interesting, the variations in nature. This one has lines running through it.
That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏
