Learning challenge s23w4: "I Love My Body /plank shoulder tap and Burpee".
Hello, friends on Steemit and fitness lovers in the SteemFit & StayFit community. Today, I am writing about a special exercise regiment called Burpee.
What is Burpee.
The Burpee exercise as a regiment is a kind of full-body workout created by collecting different movements and executing them in series at rapid succession.
Here are the different exercises that come together to make a Burpee:
- Squatting
- Push-ups
- Plank
- Mountain climbing
- Squat jumping
It is not advisable to jump into a burpee; start by warming up. The warmup gets your body ready for what is about to come and takes away the stiffness by improving flexibility and putting your mind in. The right frame.
I would love to start my warmup with a plank shoulder tap. Setting up ready for a push-up on both hands and toes with the core fully engaged and the body maintained straight.
With this position, the left palm moves from the floor to tap the right shoulder, then goes back.
And the right palm moves from the floor to tap the left shoulder, then goes back.
The table below shows the number of repetitions and rest.
Programs | no. Of reps | Rest | no. Of reps | rest | no. Of reps |
---|---|---|---|---|---|

It is time for the main course, the Burpee Regiment.
How to execute a Burpees
Start the burpee regiment in a standing position with your feet far apart and resting on your toes.
Quickly go down into a squat position, placing your palms flat on the ground.
Simultaneously kick your feet back into a planking position, fully engaging your core muscles.
Put in one push-up by lowering your body until your chest almost touches the ground.
Quickly return your feet to the squat position, and spring up to the standing position.
Finish the exercise by jumping up in the air.
When practised correctly, the following are some benefits of burpees as a regiment.
Burpees create a full-body workout that engages multiple muscle groups of muscles, including the arms, the legs, and the core. It also pushes the cardiovascular system.
Continuous burpees improve your cardiovascular endurance, teaching your body how to cope with high-tasking situations.
The quick movements and change of activities required by burpees can help improve agility and coordination.

Burpees | 5 reps | 10 seconds | 5 reps | 10 seconds | 5 reps |

Which of these programs is the most difficult for you
The jumping and push-ups and all the complex manoeuvres of the Burpee made it the most difficult routine in this week's exercise.
What exactly makes it difficult.
The jumping, Squatting and push-ups all together are what make this exercise very difficult. It was like running a marathon race on a hot afternoon.
How did you overcome the difficulty.
I was just counting and enduring for it to pass. It was not easy because there was no room for giving up halfway. It was all about endurance to the end. My sister was also a good source of encouragement for me. When you have someone to spore you up, it gives you more endurance.
What is your overall feelings at the end of these programs?
At the end of the routine, my body was thanking me. I already started feeling the abdominal muscles responding to the stress it just received.
Try to stretch your muscles at the end of these programs.
Stretching up at the end of the exercise to undo the buildup of tension in the muscles. The final stretching also helps with blood flow and muscle relaxation. It actually feels like unwinding.
