Learning Challenge s23w6: “I Love My Body / Static / Dynamic Stretches”

Hello dear steemians!

It's me @fazal-qadir from Pakistan.

How are you all? How is life going? I am hoping you guys will be fine and in good health. As we all know this is the last week of this season. Our physical activities will not end and you will participate in every contest next. Just engage yourself in these activities. I want to thank our coaches @ fngoenyi and @genomil for bringing such competition to our door. I really enjoyed it though it was difficult but result oriented.

Let's get started with this week's learning challenge. It's consist of static and dynamic stretches. I will discuss both one by one.

Static stretches

In static stretches we hold one position for 10 to 20 seconds. There are a lot of stretching exercises. Standing hamstring stretch quad stretch chest stretch shoulder stretch tricep stretch calf stretch seated spinal twist and side leg stretch. These are few examples I have mentioned whereas each exercise will need ten to 20 seconds hold and deep breathing while doing it.

Dynamic stretches

Dynamic stretches are basically the movement we will perform in the sports. If you are about to running you will do running stretching. If you are about to play football match you will do the leg swing stretches. Following examples we can do in dynamic stretches like leg swings front and back arm circle hip rotation high knees butt kicks jumping jacks and toe touches. These are just few examples for dynamic.

Benefits of stretching

Why stretching are important. If we don't stretching exercises there will be chance of injuries to our muscles. Like muscle soreness and stiffness in our whole body. It reduced the risk of injuries. Also it is best for the reduction of stress. It reduced muscles soreness and etc.

toes touching

I started my stretches with dynamic stretches. I started with both arms toes touching exercise. I done it for 20 seconds. From left hand in touch the right foot toe and with right hand I touched the left foot toe. At the start go with slow speed and increase the speed when your body warm enough. It has very good impact in my body. Your blood circulation fast. And I feel so relaxed after doing this stretching exercise.

Back and front arm moment

In this exercise I stretches my both arms front and back. I done it for 20 seconds. Both arms will move front and back at a time. This exercise have high impact on my chest and arm muscle. This exercise also good for the people who play cricket and especially for bowler. Before bowling we can do this exercise. It has also good for circulation of blood. It also reduce many injuries especially in arms. I felt relaxed after this exercise.

Arm movement down and back to the hip. I stood stand open my both legs. I kept my both hands enter between my both legs. And than I stood and kept my both hand behind my hip and turn towards backwards. I done it for 20 seconds. While doing it take deep breathing. This exercise helpful for back muscles shoulder muscle and for arm muscles.

front stretching

While keeping in squad position I moved my both hand in front position. It also help for hip muscles warmup along with shoulder and arm position. This exercise also give me relaxing sensation in my body I felt light.

Arm rotation shoulder touch

In this exercise I rotate my both arm clockwise rotation while touching my shoulders. I done first anti-clockwise for 20 seconds and than I start rotation clockwise with same pattern. I done it like put both hands on my shoulder and start rotation. This exercise is best for volleyball player cricket player and handball player. This stretching exercise target the shoulder muscles. It will reduce injury in your shoulder areas. I felt pain in my neck side maybe my body git weak. But this exercise is best among all.

At the end of these season, what is your determination with regards to regular exercises that shows that you love your body?


Honestly saying I will miss these all exercise. I know we are busy in our daily life activities. These challenges encourage us to take part in these exercise. So as I took part in each week challenge. Despite if the month of Ramadan still I took part in these week challenge. I will repeat all the exercise which were assigned for us during these 6 weeks. I will also post my videos on this community will show my progress.


I know exercise is not only essential for health but also has a great impact on mood. If a person facing stomach problem or having anxiety issue. These exercises will give them great relief from these problems. I am so determined that I will continue these exercises. I will really miss it and will desperately waiting for next season to take part in it.
