Time heals everything
Greetings Steemians. It's my second time on the Recreative Steem community. I am here to participate on a contest by @ciru2014 on the topic "Time heals everything".

She asked some questions which I must answer. Sit tight friends, as this will be an interesting session. Now let's begin.
Do you think time heals everything?
Yes, I do. Time does heal everything. The greatest scars are healed with time. I do not refer to physical scars alone but scars of the mind and emotions. Scars that are products of wounds that have pierced deeply or shallowly. Time heals it all.
I lost my father many years ago. Each time I recall how hurt I was during that period, I thank God that for time, because now, I have healed so much.
Back then when the tragedy happened, I was so sore at heart that the mention of the word "father" would make me weep bitterly. I couldn't tell someone how I lost my Dad without crying uncontrollably. Now, I can boldly narrate my escapade without shedding a tear. Time!!!

You've had a difficult situation trying you're trying to heal. Tell me about it.
The situation is the embarrassment I faced in school last term. Last term when we celebrated Cultural Day in my school, I was the representative of my house for speech saying. I was reciting my speech very fluently on my way to the stage as the Master of Ceremony called me to come present. It was then the inexpicable happened.
As soon as I climbed the stage and my face was besieged by over 200 pairs of eyes belonging to teachers, parents and fellow students, I forgot my script. I couldn't say a word. This was the first time such a thing happened to me. I had been presenting speech since I was just 10 so what was this?
The aftermath of this unprecedented calamity was an uneasiness I felt. I was so ashamed of myself over something whose happening I couldn't explain.
However, as time went on, I got used to fratinizing with people without shame. It was a single-occuring imperfection which shouldn't define me. I'm good at handling audiences so one time things went wrong doesn't mean I'm not good at it.
Do you think that time is a magic solution?
No. As a science student who doesn't believe in magic, I don't think time is a magic solution. Science itself has proven that effects of events wear away on our minds the older they become in our memories so time is a naturally scientific solution, not a magical one.

How can words heal a person?
Words have a psychological effect. The same way verbally victimizing a person can harm their mindsets, countenance and superiority complex is the manner by which saying good, reassuring, enlivening words can revitalize, promote and rearrange one's life.
Reflect on the phrase "they say time changes things but in reality you have to change them yourself (Andy Warhol)"

If I didn't consciously decide to put my speech-gone- wrong presentation behind me, I wouldn't have gathered the courage to overcome it.
What this phrase means is; the healing that time causes must be sided by your own conscious efforts. If you remain undecided, you could be at the same place for years, meaning though time has gone far, you haven't. Contrarily, you could be at a point of your life for a fortnight and then, you've moved on. This is what a collaboration of time and conscious efforts can do.
