Steemit Learning Challenge-S27W1; Physiofit; Pain-free Challenge
I am happy to participate in the frist week of Steemit Challenge. This is such an important thing to learn. I believe we all should have this basic knowledge of this physio treatment. I deem this season we will get enough knowledge about these. Thanks to @ashkhan for let us know about it.
Task 1: First you have to share your knowledge about pain, it's type and pathology
Pain is a warning signal from the body that tells us about a problem. Through this pain, we can understand if our body is injured or if there is a problem. I have taken a course on different parts of the human body, so I can relate to pain very well, pain is a kind of uncomfortable feeling that is caused by injury, inflammation or nerve problems inside or outside our body or all living things.
Pain is usually divided into two main categories.
- Acute Pain
- Chronic Pain
Acute Pain: This pain is any pain that is immediately felt. For example, if you stumble or fall while walking and hurt your leg or foot, it is Acute Pain. It is mainly caused by injury, accident, infection, cut, fracture or toothache. These pains can last from a few hours to a few weeks. The level of these pains is intense. For example, we can say that burning a finger in a fire causes severe pain, and the pain in a knee caused by tripping and falling while walking can range from tolerable to severe.
Chronic Pain: When pain in the human body continues for months or years and does not heal easily, it is called Chronic Pain. Arthritis, nerve damage, spinal problems, neglected diseases, and age-related changes are the causes of pain in college. Again, if Acute Pain is not treated at the right time, it can later turn into Chronic Pain. For example, we can say the pain that is felt due to the deterioration of the bones of the spine or long-term back pain.
Pain Pathology
I have provided above about pain which is an uncomfortable feeling of the human body. When any part of our body is injured, cut, burned or infected, then inflammation starts at the wound site. Due to inflammation, redness, swelling, warmth and pain are felt in the affected area of our body. The main reason for this is the pain-receiving nerve endings in our body (nociceptors) which send pain signals from the damaged part to the brain. The brain analyzes this signal and creates the experience of pain and tells us that there is a problem in some part of the body. As before, I will say again that this is actually a kind of warning message, so that we protect that part and take necessary care.
However, if the pain continues for a long time and is not treated properly, then Acute Pain gradually turns into Chronic Pain. In chronic pain, the brain and spinal cord repeatedly receive pain signals and the nervous system becomes increasingly sensitive. In addition, the body's pain receptors also become overly sensitive, as a result of which even a slight inflammation can create a lot of pain. As a result, inflammation becomes chronic.
Task 2: You have to find a patient with the symptom and share history of injury or illness. You can also share your history too if your suffer from any injury recently or previously that hasn't treated yet.
After reading this course, I am more interested in sharing my experience than finding a patient.
Recently I had a long journey. Since the distance between my hometown and my university is about 400 km, I have to travel frequently. The journey was about 9-10 hours long. I had tension in my neck and shoulders due to sitting in the same position for a long time in the bus. There was no opportunity to keep my head properly during the journey and the pain increased due to looking down repeatedly while using the mobile. Initially the pain was mild, but over time it became severe. Especially when I put my head on the pillow at night while sleeping, I felt a tension from the shoulder to the neck. The symptoms I was experiencing and still experince often are:
Difficulty in turning the neck
Pain increases when turning or lowering the head
Occasional headaches
Task 3: It would be better if you treat the patient pain by performing or apply above given exercises or tips, share videos or pictures while performing and then review after getting treatment.
I started doing Cervical Stretches to reduce the pain. They are very simple and can be done anywhere, sitting or standing. I do them several times a day. I did this six months ago and it was very effective for me. First I slowly tilt my head to the right, as if my ear is touching my shoulder. This makes me feel the tension in my left neck and shoulder. I do this 3 times for 20 seconds. As mentioned in the video.
Then I slowly tilt my head to the left, as if my ear is touching my shoulder. This makes me feel the tension in my right neck and shoulder. I also do this 3 times for 20 seconds.
I have never done the towel rotation stretch before, but I tried it after watching the video provided in this course. I did it following all the instructions given in the video.
Since I have just started this treatment, it is not possible to mention its effectiveness immediately, but I am getting quite a bit of relief after doing it a few times. I can say from my previous experience that it is quite relaxing and effective in providing quick relief from pain.
I am inviting my friends @sauleha @jahangeerkhanday and @pathanapsana to have a look on this challenge.

This Pain-free Challenge is teaching me a lot, but the animation looks like a never-ending towel spin of destiny 🤔. If you keep rotating like this, you might just unlock a secret portal to another fitness dimension 😅😅. Thanks for this infinite loop of learning and laughter 😂...
