নিঃসন্দেহে একা আমাদের জন্মগত অধিকার। তবে যতোক্ষণ না আমরা সেই উন্নত দেশগুলোর মতো উন্নত মানসিকতা অর্জন করছি ততোক্ষণ এটা শুধু মাত্র সংবিধানে উল্লেখিত একটি বাক্য মাত্র।
আমরা পরিবার থেকেই ছেলে এবং মেয়ে উভয়কে সমান গুরুত্ব দিতে পারি। তাঁদের মধ্যে কোনো প্রকার বৈষম্য সৃষ্টি করা যাবে না। আমি মনে করি প্রতিটি পরিবারের নিজ সন্তানকে সঠিক শিক্ষা দিতে হবে তবেই নারী ও শিশু ঘর এবং বাইরে নিরাপদ।
আমি দেখেছি অনেকেই সমালোচনা করে মেয়েদের পোশাক নিয়ে যে কারণে নাকি তাঁরা ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়।
আচ্ছা,
৭ বছরের শিশুটি কি এমন করেছিল যে তাঁকে ধর্ষণের শিকার হতে হলো?

২০১৯ সালের মানব অধিকার আইনের ২৯ নং ধারায় বলা হয়েছে--- সমাজের প্রতিটি মানুষের আত্মরক্ষা ও নিরাপত্তার অধিকার রয়েছে। এই বিষয়টিকে যেখানে এত গুরুত্ব সহকারে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে সেখানে আমার সন্দেহের কোন অবকাশ থাকে না যে নিরাপত্তা প্রত্যেকটি শিশুর জন্মগত অধিকার হওয়া উচিত।
এখন বর্তমানে প্রতিটি সরকারি এবং বেসরকারি স্কুলে "good touch" ও "bad touch" এর ব্যাপারে বাচ্চাদের শেখানো হয়।
বাচ্চাদেরকে আগত সমস্যা থেকে নিজেদেরকে রক্ষা করার জন্য বেশ কিছু হেল্পলাইন নাম্বার মুখস্ত করাতে হবে। যেমন--চাইল্ড লাইন নম্বর (১০৯৮), যা সমগ্র ভারতে প্রযোজ্য। এছাড়া পুলিশের নাম্বার ও মুখস্ত করাতে হবে। তাতে তারা কোন বিপদে পড়লে সাহায্য পেতে পারে।

প্রথমেই বিজয়ী সকলকে অনেক শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। কমিউনিটিতে আয়োজিত কনটেস্টের বিষয়বস্তুগুলো আমাদের জীবনের উপরে ভিত্তি করে নির্বাচিত হওয়ার পরেও, সেখানে অংশগ্রহণের তালিকা এতো সীমিত দেখে মাঝে মধ্যে অবাক লাগে। লেখার মধ্যে ভিন্নতা আনার জন্য এই কনটেস্টের ভূমিকা অনন্য। অথচ সবাই একঘেয়েমি লেখাতে এতটাই অভ্যস্ত হয়ে গেছে যে, এই ভিন্ন বিষয়বস্তু নিয়ে চিন্তাভাবনা করে নিজের মতামত প্রকাশে তাদের এতটুকুও ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ চোখে পড়ে না। মুষ্টিমেয় কয়েকজনকেই দেখি কনটেস্টে অংশগ্রহণ করতে, যেটা খুবই দুর্ভাগ্যজনক।
