RE: There Was a Request...

Hi Wakeupkitty,

I’ve been writing and painting for years, but didn’t take up art “professionally” until about 2013. I schooled both of my daughters until their entrance in high school. Their lives and personalities provided so many ideas and much content for art practice.
Today I have solo exhibits at least twice a year, and maintain a website to show and sell work (except for this year, of course:))
I am connected with the Stuckist art movement and recently with the Black Ivory Printmaking and Audio Club.
I have some success showing work in coffee shops and bars, however, my paintings are not a big hit with institutions—hospitals, doctor’s offices, theaters, etc...
My oldest daughter is an arts administrator for an elementary school (ages 5 - 12) that focuses on the arts. She is very aware of the positive impact of art for youth. I had a show a couple years ago where I donated half of the profits to her school.
I get up in the morning to paint nearly every day. My only problem with art is its distribution. The studio is too full!
Thank you for the kind words. I hope you are well. I will look into this “the face of 2024”.
