It's wonderful to know that this plant, despite having so many thorns, can be used to cure various skin conditions! It's wonderful that your grandmother extracted the oil from it to heal wounds.I imagine this was a job to do! Good luck!

You are absolutely right in mentioning the thorns of this plant. Because of the thorns, it is very difficult to pick berries from the tree, and the pricks from the thorns take a very long time to heal.

As for the extraction of sea buckthorn oil, you are right here too, in those days there were no devices for its extraction, I only remember that my grandmother placed sea buckthorn cake in an ordinary nylon stocking and hung it over a container where drops of oily liquid were gradually dripped.

It was a long process.
