I love fantasy fiction, your story also brings many references to Egyptian culture. I liked the enigmatic challenge questions, (just as the sphinx would have done, testing people with her riddles).

I love history, and when assigned to write a fiction story I actually find it difficult to imagine without a benchmark.
So I relate a story to history (which I'm just finding out about), and I take variables that are unique to me wrapped in a little description.
About Stargate, it's a great movie.
But I was influenced a lot by The Mummy.
