On the banks of the majestic Nile, a young man named Fayez, the son of a simple farmer dedicated himself to spending his days helping his father farm.

But in his heart Fayez had a great curiosity about the legends and history of Ancient Egypt. he was always fascinated by the stories of powerful gods and the pharaohs who built magnificent monuments.

Once upon a time while harvesting papyrus, Fayez found a scroll of gold-colored sheets of paper, hidden among the tall grass.

The scroll glowed with a mysterious light and Fayez approached it, held it and opened it, Fayez was instantly thrown into a universe of mystery and knowledge.

Fayez woke up at the foot of the magnificent Karnak Temple, with its giant columns and vast courtyards making him feel small amidst the grandeur of the place. Inside the temple, he saw priestesses performing rituals and offerings to the gods, surrounded by murals recounting epic battles and tales of divinity. The walls of the temple were adorned with images of Horus, Isis, and Ra, each telling of their feats and powers.

Intrigued, Fayez approached the murals, and found it challenging to understand the symbols. Echoing in his mind, questions arose: "Fayez, can you identify the gods depicted in these murals? What do these images say about the importance of religion to Egyptians?"

Concentrating, Fayez observes and ponders, realizing that the gods were at the core of Egyptian life, influencing everything from agriculture to personal and political decisions. After answering correctly, Fayez is drawn by a ray from the opened scroll to a new setting and he finds himself in a bustling village on the banks of the Nile. The mud-brick houses have a rustic simplicity, but every detail tells a story of everyday life.

He observed farmers working in the fields, women weaving, and children running and playing on the banks of the great river. Not far away, sculptors and painters were immersed in the creation of their art, giving life to objects that not only decorated, but also protected and told stories. A sculpture of a small blue hippopotamus caught his eye, a work rich in detail and symbolism.

Suddenly, he heard a new challenge: "What aspects of daily life are often depicted in sculptures and mural paintings? How does the Nile influence the art scene in this village?" Inspired, Fayez realized that Egyptian art is a living reflection of their daily lives and that the Nile, with its vital importance, is an endless source of inspiration and continuity for such creation.

The scroll opened and shone again and transported Fayez into the pyramid, where the darkness was illuminated only by the golden glitter of the funerary objects. He found himself in a chamber illuminated by the light of dancing torches, reflecting the meticulously carved hieroglyphics on the walls, with the air filled with sanctity and mystery.

Fayez is now in front of the coffin of a pharaoh, surrounded by a funeral art collection with sculptures, meticulously crafted furniture, and stunning jewelry, all with symbols he vaguely recognizes. Until finally, a final question echoed: "Fayez, can you explain what funeral art means in Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife? How did the hieroglyphics and objects inside the tomb help the pharaohs in their eternal journey?"

Fayez, with a mixture of awe and reverence, understands that all funeral art was carefully designed to guide and protect the pharaohs in the afterlife, guaranteeing their immortality. Once Fayez solves the final riddle, he immediately returns to the present, back to the banks of the Nile. he now carries a deeper and richer understanding of Egyptian civilization.

Fayez knows that his magical adventure is a treasure that needs to be shared, keeping the gold-colored scroll as a symbol of his commitment to explore and appreciate more of the vast art and history, as vast as the Nile.

Hi @fajrularifst

Great story, my friend, my honors.

I love fantasy fiction, your story also brings many references to Egyptian culture. I liked the enigmatic challenge questions, (just as the sphinx would have done, testing people with her riddles).

As a child, I dreamed of being an archaeologist and going to explore Egypt. Thank you for your story.
Have you studied Egyptology?

Do you know the movie Stargate?
It is full of references to ancient Egyptian culture.

Hello sir @joslud

I love history, and when assigned to write a fiction story I actually find it difficult to imagine without a benchmark.

So I relate a story to history (which I'm just finding out about), and I take variables that are unique to me wrapped in a little description.

About Stargate, it's a great movie.
But I was influenced a lot by The Mummy.

So, when you're not being an archaeologist, how do you fuel your fascination with ancient objects?
