Nourish the mind, body, and spirit!
Here's some of the dishes I've had to nourish my body and to keep a strong focused mind.
The little one and I enjoyed some pig heart.
I had some pastured eggs and sardines.
Top sirloin tip roast.
Ground beef with HWC, parmesan cheese, and a couple fresh picked & chopped asparagus.
Left over ribs with HWC, parsley, and red onion.
Here's my spiritual nourishment:
or is eating vegetables more spiritual?
If you get a chance check out this video:
I just can't say no to a morning swim every day with my little fish while I have my coffee.
I call that my cardio along with walking through the garden w/my feet on the ground barefoot.
They don't come clean anymore.
Still making it to the gym several days a week.
One last thing for all the vegans out there, you need to stop claiming that the Okinawan tribe were vegans knowing they lived long healthy lives. The truth however is that they were as the Ayurvedic people and thought meat to be a prized possession for great health. Meat was scarce because of their poverty but they did acquire meat when they could of which they ate octopus, squid, fish, and pork all head to tail.
The consumption of animal protein was known among the Okinawan to rejuvenate blood vessels and help to reduce the incidence of stroke, hypertension and cognitive impairment.
The Okinawan expression, “ishoku dogen,” means that you can remove the need of the doctors by eating healthy, fresh food.
"nuchi gusui naibitan," an expression,
“This food has been medicine for my life.”
