SEC-S20W4 | 2nd Half: Rice

It's a pleasure to attend week 4 gastronomy class which I find very interesting learning about RICE; its various types and how to calculate the amount to serve in a main dish.

Did You Know the Types of Rice Mentioned in Class?

Yes, I am very familiar with the types of rice mentioned in this course especially the long grain rice; basmati, brown, white and jasmine rice. The short grain rice is usually stressful for me when cooking so I tend to be more selective when I'm purchase rice.

Which Starter and Which Dessert would go with the Main Dish You Just Prepared?

Being that my main dish is fried rice, salad will go well as starter while banana and watermelon mixed smoothie can be served as dessert.

My Experience Learning About Pasta and Rice

Learning about pasta and rice in this class has expand my knowledge about the ingredients, its types, the preparation methods and what the raw ingredients are made of. Learning about pasta last week was a beautiful experience; I was able to produce pasta from scratch. It was more fulfilling when I produced macaroni all by myself with ease following the recipe that was given by the teachers. All thanks to gastronomy team for this amazing opportunity.
