You might also want to keep an eye out for some Ollas. It's a similar idea that I would love to try. I just can't find pots designed like this.

Ollas are unglazed clay/terra-cotta pots with a bottle or tapered shape that are buried in the ground with the top/neck exposed above the soil surface and filled with water
