Strawberry and Banana Kefir Breakfast Smoothie
Nothing happens around here until after breakfast. Usually a couple of coffees down, too. With the warming weather, a fresh smoothie often does the trick.
Keeping it nice and simple, because we are functioning only with a stick blender. This smoothie had a pint of milk kefir, one banana, a handful of strawberries, and a little nub of ginger. A customary dollop of honey, all whizzed up and ready to go.
The kefir was only after it's first ferment, but I'm sure would work just as well after a second ferment. Maybe even with the honey and fruit mixed in--just whack the stick in and blend.
Now for those coffees...

lovely post. I really like your cutting board, I wish I could borrow it for a photo shoot. If you'd like a little advise (it's really, really little), maybe add just a couple more photos. From the feedback I receive, the community really likes the photos. Great job!

Thanks @gringalicious! I must admit, you're to thank for my recent smoothie binge. It's a very nice board, and probably the only attractive surface we've got to photograph on...maybe you can get @rigaronib to whip one up for you ;)
