Working on obliques!

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I've decided to work on my obliques; the side muscles of your abs which give you a nice V-shaped look. I inspired myself from one of @doviesworkout videos on Instagram. Follow him if you like this content, he has come tool stuff there.

I'm always trying to mix up my exercise routine, so I love getting ideas from others. This routine seemed very easy and fun to do, and boy is it effective! I was sore for a week! It does not only work your front obliques, but also the side muscles in your back. This routine is an excellent addition to your regular ab/core routine.

PS: I'm sorry if at times you can't see the weight on the screen. When I was filming it was all on screen, but when I edited my video for some reason part of the frame was cut off at the bottom. I hope you can still see how its done.

Damn obliques, so easily destroyed by beer.

It's so much harder to exercise in winter, or is that just me? Wait, do you even have a winter?!

Good to see you've got a bit of a sweat on, there are lots of 'workout' vids where the guide doesn't look like they've done anything!

ahahah no winter here. Here you break a sweat even when you just think about working out LOL.

Yeah that's much better - easier to keep toned when you are constantly sweating :)

I'd love to, just this matter of 30 cent STEEM to overcome, then I'll be right there!

Looks like it's a great workout. It reminds me a bit of the Billy Blanks' ab work-outs. I love those, they're only 15 to 30 minutes but you can definitely feel the burn. :) Have to get on it again. Thanks for sharing. It's a shame I didn't have more time at the diner table at Steemfest to have a chat, but maybe next year!

Yeah, I was quite the fanatic until a few weeks ago (injured my back while chopping wood...) and hope to slowly get back into it soon. Billy Blanks just has this amazing energy going, the time flies! It's quite a bit of cardio, but hopefully you'll be back all healed up soon. There's another youtuber I really like, she has several kinds of video's, so there's always something for anyone. Her name is Keaira Lashae. I love her work-outs too.

Ah sorry to hear about your back...injuries suck big time! Hopefully you'll feel better soon!

Thanks! It's not too bad, I think it was some nerve that got caught in my lower back somehow. It hurt like hell, but at the same time probably trying to tell me to take it easy for a while. So the first thing I am doing now is make my back stronger. I tend to forget that sometimes and it's so important.
