Day 4 – Clouds, Laughter, and a Touch of Magic in Sunny Beach
After three scorching days under the Bulgarian sun, day four brought a welcome twist—clouds rolling in gently over the mountains, bringing with them a cooler breeze and a break from the relentless heat. The temperature dipped a few degrees, but spirits certainly didn’t follow suit.
We made the most of the cloud cover, spending the day the same way any good holiday should be spent—drinking, dancing, laughing, and just soaking in the moments. The kids were as energetic as ever, darting between poolside games and the ever-popular water slides like it was still 30 degrees.
Come evening, we headed back to the room to freshen up and prepare for the nightly ritual—mini disco madness. There’s something truly joyful about watching our littlest one dance their socks off, spinning and giggling beneath the disco lights like they own the stage.
Then it was our turn to kick back, drink in hand, for the main entertainment: a stunning mix of circus magic and jaw-dropping acrobatics. The performers were incredible—gravity-defying feats that had the whole audience gasping and clapping along.
By the end of the night, the kids were absolutely shattered—zonked out almost the second we walked through the door. Mrs Welshstacker and I poured ourselves a quiet nightcap and sat on the veranda, watching the stars and the occasional glimmer of moonlight peek through the stubborn cloud cover.
It might not have been the sunniest day, but it was filled with everything that makes a holiday unforgettable—family, fun, and a little bit of magic.
