RE: The Dark Overlord files examined by computer forensics expert

in #dtube6 years ago

Nice to see you posting using DTube now ;)
Very informative video and obviously Steemians are following the @thedarkoverlord account very closely.
The documents look to be legitimate so far, and people are waiting for any releases of any significance. This will be a real test of Steem/steemit's censorship resistance.

Thanks v4vapid :) yes, I was using D.Tube before but I lost all my videos on there and had problems uploading but it looks like it is all fixed now and I am back! Yes, I am watching the account close as well - wondering what will happen. Its like Christmas and wondering if there anything good under the tree lol

Thanks for Re-steeming this video @v4vapid

No worries... nice to have some analysis by someone in the field that would be able to decipher if the docs are legit or not (even if it is just a redditor). Haven't heard anything contrary at this point.

I'm keep track, so if he does one again, will cover that one as well - hopefully, if the next tier is reached and more docs are released, or he puts anything else out at Sparky.tech :)

Good stuff, I've sifted through some of the documents myself but I didn't decrypt them on my computer with veracrypt. Even though, I use veracrypt regularly, there's still the possibility of one of the containers hosting malware. Thanks for covering the SparkyTech piece because he recommends mounting the file containers as "read only" which is much safer way of going about it.
