Dad Tip of the Day: Play Hot Wheels and make tracks with your kids, they will have fun and it has positive benefits.

I loved playing with Hot Wheels and MatchBox cars when I was a youngster. So many shapes, sizes, varieties, etc to play with that it was never a dull experience. Add in cool and creative tracks, and I would be entertained for hours.

Who knew having fun could be so beneficial to kids, but I found a good article online that claims some benefits are:

https://thestir.cafemom.com/toddlers_preschoolers/193299/5_reasons_every_kid_should

  • Problem Solving (example: when making tracks)

  • Teamwork (example: racing each other or building tracks)

  • Creativity (example: making ramps and obstacles)

  • Imagination (example: playing make belief as they have fun)

  • Education (example: can learn concepts like slopes, kinetic energy, speed, etc)

So there you go – fun and educational!

My kids do enjoy playing Hot Wheels as well… here is a track they made recently, which of course, was designed to make the cars crash into each other:

Fun times!
