Where to Buy Your First Bitcoin or Other Crypto
Hi Steemians,
this is my first crypto video and I am hungry for feedback. I know the light is not ideal and I am repeating the word "however" like hundred times :D I just thought to put it out there to collect some initial feedback - that would be much appreciated.
What will you learn in the video?
- Where to buy your first crypto
- Short description of 4 trading platforms, their advantages and disadvantages
- Comparison between Coinbase, Gdax, Kraken and Bitfinex.
Thanks,
Kryptoanka
Hey @kryptoanka, I just watched your video and I think you did a great job with it. You've clearly demonstrated that you're knowledgeable about these four exchanges and have done the work on your end. It's very logically structured and is easy to follow. In terms of the lighting, I like how the environment brightens your face and contrasts the darkness of the background.
Some constructive notes for you:
I like that you shared the main points of what you will be sharing at the beginning of the video, but I do feel that it was drawn out a bit. My recommendation would be to spend one or two sentences telling us what you will share, then immediately dive into an intriguing story that captures the viewers attention.
Also, it seemed like there were a few times throughout this video where you paused to look at your notes. For the viewer, it feels a bit distracting so a great way to counter that is to edit in a slide with your main points up on the screen. This way, you can look down on your notes while you're presenting but the audience won't see you looking down since you have the slide showing up on the video. Hopefully that makes sense. I'm basically telling you to add into images on the screen to make the content more engaging (by adding the visual information) and to also make it easier for you as the presenter.
Lastly, choose a background environment that is more inviting or interesting. I personally feel that you are attractive and look good on camera so it's not a huge deal but I think that if the background was more interesting, it would help improve the overall quality.
Overall, you did a really great job here Anka! Keep creating videos as much as you possibly can as it takes time and practice to really figure out a good production flow. I'm still figuring out mine and I've been creating videos for years!
Thanks so much for sharing and I hope my notes help :)
Cheers,
~ @axios
@axios, this is very helful, thank you very much!
Only when I tried to make this video, I realised how hard it actually is! You need to think about light, background, quality, editing, the list goes on. So really, now I can say that I truly appreciate all the hard work that Youtubers do.
Now back to your feedback.
I didn't actually have any notes with me, I guess that that was just my thinking face :D Hoping that the floor would tell me what to say next :D I should definitely try not doing that.
I really like your idea with the slides. For my next videos, I was thinking to actually show how to trade on the platforms, so that would be showing on the screen.
Regarding the background, I totally struggled to find a nice background environment. Nothing seemed to be looking good on camera:/ Will try to figure something out, maybe get a studio background?
Many thanks again for the comments, much appreciated.
I have lots to learn from people like you who have been doing it for years.
Thanks,
kryptoanka
@kryptoanka that's awesome that you were doing it all from your mind! Clearly you know what you're talking about so I definitely see that as a good thing. Having notes or a slide will definitely help you stay more in the flow.
I'm really glad you chose to just dive into this. There absolutely is a lot to figure out, that's why you just gotta keep doing it and learning as you go.
Doing things on camera is always a great choice. So if you actually had a screenshot video of you trading, that would be a great idea. It's way more interesting when you show people what you mean instead of telling them.
In terms of the background, if you can't find a good space then just edit in pictures and other stuff in your video to keep it interesting. Like I said, you have a great photogenic presence so you'll be fine, it'll just help keep things interesting when you add in the other stuff.
Take it one thing at a time. It can get overwhelming if you try to change it all at once. You'll figure out the formula that works for you in time. For now, keep on hitting record! :)
Thanks for the encouraging words:)
Great video @Kryptoanka, especially for your first. I think you may have been a bit nervous, but like I said really good for your first video and I'm sure that you'll keep improving!
What set up are you using for audio and video recording? I think that the quality is great! I work full time in cryptos between ICO consulting, online courses and have been blogging on Steemit for a while. I'll give you a follow and make sure to keep up with your posts, as well as give you any feedback that I have on your posts! My main advice would be to set up a post planner - I plan out my posts weekly or bi-weekly!
Thank you @lukebrn.
I recorded it on my phone - Samsung Galaxy S6. The video size is QHD 2560x1440. I tried FHD 1920x1080 which I thought would be enough but the quality was not too great once I transferred it to the computer.
Wow, you have such a cool job, that's awesome!:)
Your feedback is very much appreciated.
And thanks for following me. I have given you a follow, too, and looking forward to reading your posts.
No problem! Cool, it sounds great anyway. Thank you! That's great, I'll check in with your work too :)
Good job! So interesting video, it's like a "new" topic, and is really good to know a little bit mor about that! See you 😃
Thanks @shnau. Glad that you learned something new:) See you around
Hey @kryptoanka great first video! Have you considered using DTube too? It's a decentralized application based off the Steem blockchain in which you can upload videos etc. like YouTube. You should check it out if you haven't already.
As you are interested in cryptocurrency, my blog is going to do an overview series of the top 100 coins and it'd be great if you could give me a follow... I've just released my third post on BAT but I've got many more to come!
Hope you have a nice day :)
