RE: Resilience and the importance of having a full well
This is very true.
I just discovered over Christmas that my critical memory issue is gradually disappearing as I’ve had more tome to shut off because I’m only on call and not working flat out. There is PLENTY going on at home in the family. Tons of changes, social catch ups and challenges. But my memory capacity is returning.
I think I may take up meditating in 12 min slots to try to close some of the windows I’ve got permanently open in my brain whilst I’m working?
One of the other things I’ve done that helps is asking my patients to be responsible for keeping me posted so I’m not ‘clock-watching’ for how their emergency is going and whether what I advised them to do has worked. That helps to close a few dozen windows!
My husband told me I need to get off call because I’m not mentally present so I thought I’d best do something to enable me to be on call and yet be present ❤️ (Without burning out!).
I’m so pleased to have my bestie here on steemit finally ❤️ And my life strategist to boot!
Welcome to steemit. Xxx
Ah, yes! Being constantly on call and having too many tabs open is a sure fire way to empty your well! So great that you've found ways to lessen the effects <3 xx
Watch this space! Haven’t started yet. But a few mins of doing absolutely nothing is massively refreshing so thought I’d shedule them in. You know me (well). There are few times when I’m doing nothing!
Dog walking is a great meditation for me.
Ah, okay - fingers crossed then! <3
