A Gentle Judge, A Gentle Soul 🤍😥
Greetings,
Yesterday, the world received heartbreaking news — Judge Frank Caprio passed away. For many, this was not just the loss of a judge, but the farewell of a man who redefined what it means to practice justice. For me personally, it feels like a part of goodness in the world has gone silent. 😥
Frank Caprio was more than a person in the courtroom, a teller of compassionate tales. Millions of the people all over the world watched his courtroom attestations not to see any sentences, but to see something unusual in modern world- man covered with justice.
He made us remember that not each of the cases is merely a violation of the law but life and there are sufferings, delights and errors in it.
The single quotation of his that has ever followed me, is: "I don't know what future holds, I don't know so I tell you enjoy every minute of your Life ."
These phrases may appear to be very simple, and yet in them there is a philosophy. Judge Caprio lived gratefully, mindfully and happily. Instead he showed us that no one can ever be sure of the future and that our only guarantee is the moment we are in, and what we do with that moment.
His loss is being mourned by folks in the United States, Europe and even in this country Pakistan. I can not imagine how it is even possible that one man, by sitting in one of the court rooms in Providence, Rhode Island, could reach so many hearts on the other side of oceans. Throughout the world people could see the manner in which he listened, smiled, forgave, and even wept with people before him in every corners of the world. He demonstrated to us that there is no justice by always punishing somebody because occasionally justice is mercy. 🌏 ✨
The robe did not make Judge Caprio popular, his heart did. He talked with the people as did a father: patiently, understanding, honestly. His courtroom was never cold, it was warm, with at some times sounding laughter, at others instruction. People found in him what they would like to see more often in leaders, judges, influential people: compassion, humility and humanity.
Even though he has passed on, his legacy will live forever. His videos will continue to inspire, his words will continue to echo, and his kindness will continue to ripple across generations. Judge Caprio may no longer walk among us, but the light he left behind will never fade.
Today, as I reflect, I feel grateful to have witnessed his wisdom in my lifetime. He taught me to smile at life, to treat people with dignity, and to never forget that behind every face is a story waiting to be understood.
Rest in peace, Judge Caprio. You were not just America’s Judge; you were the world’s Judge of Compassion. Your robe is gone, but your heart remains eternal. 🕊️❤️
Thanks, Judge! 😥😥
Regards
