”MUJOU-Impermanence”

I created this cut paper art. I shared the rough draft of this art before and finally, finished cutting everything out. I am going to make the background soon. This cut paper was bigger than usual so it took a week to cut out. I felt why did I made such small details... but it was fun.
I always wanted to design Japanese ladies’ lives at a yuukaku. It looks beautiful but they didn't have any freedom. The lady on this cut paper art is just by herself standing the outside of the yuukaku gate and looking at the cherry blossom trees. I hope she got her freedom. I really hope that there is no racism, discrimination, or violence all over the world and everybody should have human rights to live peacefully.

“無常”

切り絵を作成しました。以前このデザインのラフ画を投稿しましたが、やっと切り絵を完成しました。背景をこれから作る予定です。通常のサイズより大きな切り絵なので、約一週間ほどかかりました。なぜ、こんな細かいデザインにしてしまったのだろうと思いましたが…楽しかったです。

以前から日本の女性の遊郭での暮らしを切り絵にしたいと思っていました。一見美しく見えますが、彼女たちには自由がありませんでした。この切り絵の中央下にいる女性は、遊郭の門の外に一人で立って桜の木々を眺めています。この女性は、自由を手に入れたことと願います。世界中から人種差別、あらゆる差別または暴力が無くなってほしいと願います。全ての人が平和に生きる権利があるのですから。
