My Actifit Report Card: February 20 2022
Who has the power?😊
A Sunny, but biting cold day today!🥶
I was cleaning up the fallen branches from numerous winter wind storms in our backyard.
A nor’easter was starting to blow!
Liz had our commercial coffee roasters running starting a coffee order.
I came in to help………..
“Silvertop, the grid electric is off!”😲
Running our home on solar power, was one of the best things we have done!☺️
Nothing changes, the roaster’s kept running, the refrigerator and freezer continued keeping things cold and frozen!Today was a brilliant high Solar electric day!🤗
With this order finished, we met up with Jan for today’s hike.
The plan was that we would hike our old stomping trails today.
We passed Chris a neighbor and he said Keith and Lynne were cutting new hiking trails, they had bought some new property off of South Pass.
When we reached the new trailhead high up on South Pass ridge, I needed to stop and just take in the view of the snow capped Cascade Mountain in front of me!😲
Keith has bought a significant amount of acreage! The new hiking trail switchback’s down the extremely steep Mountain hillside, to the valley below!
The cold wind is the strongest on this side of the ridge, all three of us bundled up for the decent to the valley.
Daylight was running out, we started way too late, not expecting to be exploring today.
We stopped halfway to the valley floor, over 176 uphill floors today, and 9.81 miles hiked.😅
My Fitbit altimeter counts “each” floor as 10 feet uphill only.
“It’s good to be back home Liz, its cold outside, we need to get an early start hiking so we can get to the valley floor!”😇🥰
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

It was indeed beautiful, but bone chilling cold for sure! Maybe we need to wait until it's a little warmer to go back into the 'wind tunnel'! 🤗😘💖💨💨💨
