The School Boy - (Acrylic and Marker on Canvas).
Good Day Steemians,
The School Boy is a miniature painting which is part of a series of miniature paintings that I am currently working on. I am currently done with 4 pieces and this particular piece seems to be my fave at the moment, so many things about the painting is just so giving....
The initial idea was just to paint a school boy coming back from school during the day but the idea of the balloon came later on while I was preparing and decided on what materials to paint with and I am so glad that I was bold enough to embrace the balloon idea when it came but now, the balloon is even the more reason why I connect to the piece so well.
Of all the colours in the painting, which do you like more?
Personally, I love the blue that makes up the balloon, it's just so pleasing and appealing to me. I might create a similar painting soon but in a bigger size cause I just can't get enough of the beauty on this small Canvas.

The balloon
It's clear the boy said yes as he was asked: Do you want a balloon? I wonder if there was a celebrations since balloons don't go up by themselves. This item gives room for thought.
I can imagine a mini series of the boy, from baby, todler, primary school to... showing different aspects of life.
There was a period people had 3-5 pictures in a baby room. Somehow this one reminds me of those although they could show animals or fun pictures as well (or babies in flowers).

Okay. I get your point. Forcepainting is something unique artistically that I am trying to coin out for myself. Still refining it though.

Unstretched. Not wrapped around a wood base. I did several last year. I just like the look:)
Oh okay. I get it now. I love to work like that, it gives me so much sense of freedom while at work.
