As a general rule, that's true, success beings with insight, however, the strikes of luck have been a bigger reason most people succeeded throughout history, in some religions that's attributed to destined fate, that's your chance in life as it was written for you by your creator, in other beliefs, that is only caused by luck.
In my personal opinion, if you catch the opportunity at the right time, you're succeeding, if you let it go even if you had it in your insight, it's gone forever.
