short story-31
There was a little girl named Emily. She lived in a small town on the outskirts of a large city. Emily was a curious and adventurous girl, always eager to explore the world around her.
One day, while wandering through the woods near her home, Emily stumbled upon an old treehouse. The treehouse was high up in a giant oak tree, and it was like nothing she had ever seen before. Emily knew she had to climb up and see what was inside.
As she climbed the rickety ladder, her heart raced with excitement. When she reached the top, she peered inside and gasped. The treehouse was a magical place, filled with books, toys, and games.
Emily spent hours playing in the treehouse, reading books and imagining all sorts of adventures. She felt like she had found a secret hideaway, a place where she could be herself and forget about the worries of the world.
Over the next few weeks, Emily visited the treehouse every day. She even began to bring some of her own toys and games to share with whoever had left them there. But no matter how many times she went, she never saw anyone else in the treehouse.
One day, Emily decided to leave a note for whoever had built the treehouse. She scribbled a message on a piece of paper and left it on the table, hoping that someone would find it.
The next day, when Emily arrived at the treehouse, she saw that her note was gone. In its place was a new note, written in a shaky handwriting.
"Dear Emily," the note said. "Thank you for your message. I am an old man who used to play in this treehouse when I was a little boy. I built it many years ago, and I've been adding to it ever since. I'm glad you're enjoying it as much as I did. Keep coming back, and maybe we can be friends."
Emily was overjoyed. She had made a connection with someone she had never even met. From that day on, Emily continued to visit the treehouse every day. And though she never met the old man who had built it, she knew that he was watching over her, and that she had found a special place that would always be a part of her.
