ZenCash is probably the best privacy coin right now, and while it hasnt been around as long as Dash or Monero, it definitely has much more exciting developments in security, anonymity, and privacy.

ZenCash is an improvement of the "zero-knowledge" tech from ZCash. From a Technical point of view, this coin has a massive future as governments try to invade on your financials and get what they believe is theirs to spend on war and padding unfair corporate bailouts/subsidies. (IMO)

To cover some highlights, it is end-to-end encrypted and zero-knowledge where the system doesn't have to know you to process your transactions.

ZEN covers 3 major functions:

ZenCash blocks are divvied up as follows:

"(a) 88% to miners.
(b) 5% to one or more DAOs.
(c) 3.5% to Secure Node Operators.
(d) 3.5% to the Core Team."

Yeah there is a MasterNode type structure as well. Set-up on Linux with 42 tokens, you can form a secure node, which is an improvement on the PoS/MN ideas. These nodes ensure encryption of the system.

It really seems that ZenCash is an improvement on a lot of existing tech by making it all more secure, and to make it better they have a unique DAO set-up to help the community run the system, based on ownership.
