ZAPPL Feature contest - Photo filters
This is my feature suggestion post for Zappl, see the contest post here. I'm super excited for Zappl, the design sneak peaks looks great! I have big hopes for Zappl!
One of the after launch features mentioned in the proposal is image uploading.
My feature suggestion builds on this, and takes inspiration from Snapchat/Instagram. Filters, photo filters. I know, they can be tacky and annoying, but they have been a huge success for the aforementioned social media platforms and I think a feature like this would be appealing to new users coming from other platforms.
Personally I would like to see filters that actually can change the style of the photos in a serious way. But I also think that silly filters like dog ears and stuff can be a big hit, at least from what I've seen on other platforms. And filters like adding "Happy birthday" and other text could be cool, and makes sense on a microblogging platform in my opinion.
I know this probably would take a lot of development to implement, and is dependent on solving image uploading, but I would like to throw the idea out there (I searched through the other feature suggestions and couldn't see anything like this suggested before).

Excellent idea @leanvix ! I like the idea of filtering.
Could even host contests for new filters. Every time someone uses a filter that was created/proposed by user X. They get a portion of the curation rewards.
