Think and Grow Rich (Principle to make more Money)

Napoleon Hill was a journalist and a writer, who fortunately get a chance to take an interview of the richest person of their time Andrew Carnegie. The interview was going good but suddenly Carnegie gives a serious offer to Napoleon. He said “I know most of the people will fail to become successful by trying to figure out everything themselves. But the reality is that principle for success are universal. That means it is same for everyone. Instead of learning this themselves, they should learn from us. That’s why want you to write a book in which successful people’s knowledge and wisdom are given. That will help people to succeed in life. I will make you meet with some rich and successful people by contacting them. And I will give you money for traveling only. So, do you want to accept this offer?” after thinking a while Napoleon accepted the offer. After that, he researched for 20 years taking interview of 500 rich and successful people. And then he makes an amazing book whose summary I’m going to give in this video.

There are many important principles in this book, but I will be sharing 5 points with you.

1. The Burning Desire: Most important thing that you should know to make your dream come true is that you should have a very strong desire for that thing and not just wish to get it. Example: most of the people who see a sports car they think “I wish I had this type of car”, whereas in another side a person who keeps a strong desire think like this “ I like this Ferrari Enzo and I will have it one day for sure!!!”. These are the people who make their dreams come true. Because it is fact that stronger the desire to get that thing, the more is the chances that he will get that thing. Now I will give another example of strong desire. In 1519, Hernan Cortes went through the way of water in order to conquer the foreign land. It was his desire to take over that places at any cost by winning that war, but when he reached the war place with his 500 soldiers. He came to know that his enemies were double in numbers, they were many compare to his. Looking at that, Herman ordered his soldier to burn all the ships which they have. Why? Because he wanted to win that war at any cost, and he knew if ships will be there, then soldiers would think to run to save their lives. Hence he burned all the ships. Now only two things can happen, either we all will die here or we will fight back with all-out effort and conquer this place. And the result of his wonderful speech and of his very difficult decision was that he along with his soldiers won that battle and conquered that place. This is called extreme desire, who do not think about their life when it comes to their dream. Now, I am not saying that even you should put your life in danger. But at least do your hard work, put your time and energy in order to make your dream come true. Here author says we can use this principle in order to earn money by following 6 step procedure.

Step 1: Fix the amount of money you want: Decide that how money you want to earn in your life. Not only think, that I want to earn a lot of money but do not have exact numbers that how much want to earn. Till the time you do not decide and have a proper answer for this, until that time you will be like a ship who has moved into the sea but doesn’t know where to go, do not know about the destination. And because of its chances of shrinking is more. Hence it is important to decide what amount you want to earn in your life which is necessary to live a happy life.

Step 2: Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire: Now to earn that much money, decide what all things you are ready to sacrifice. For Example: Decide in order to earn that much amount, I am ready to give my maximum time for it. I am ready to work for this many hours. Ready to sacrifice my sleep etc. As it says, in this world, if you want something you have to give something.

Step 3: Establish a Definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire: Decide a fixed date, which I will earn that much amount, before the date which I have to decide, no matter what happens, But I will earn for sure.

Step 4: Create a definite plan: Now make a plan, whatever way you want, and start working on it immediately. Do not wait that I will make a better plan than this or a perfect plan and then I will follow it. Because there is nothing like the perfect plan. So better just take an action immediately.

Step 5: Write down everything: Write answer for all these 4 points properly in a particular book and do write it for sure. Because it will give you a direct start which will help you to move ahead in your life.
Last and most important step.

Step 6: read it daily. Everything which you had written, look at it twice in a day and read it loudly and repeat it again and again. By doing this, that thing will get stored in your subconscious mind, which is very important to think and grow rich.

This 6 steps will make your dream of earning a lot of money into reality.
