When I saw the heavy large circle of plastic sitting the corner of my sisters room, I made a face. 'What is that?' I said as I pointed accusingly at what I assumed was the newest exercise fad. 'An exercise wheel!' she replied excitedly then showed me a series of exercises including squats, push ups, balances...I quickly searched instagram (obviously) for inspiration on how to use it.

I was over joyed! I am a huge fan of yoga play and movement so I caught onto the poses pretty quickly.

It helps with handstands!

It's GREAT for deepening back bends...

I have to say- I have slightly fallen in love with the wheel! I went and bought one in a pretty turquoise blue which made it even more appealing then my sister's luminous orange version (we have very different tastes!). Of course I was into yoga before the purchase and I have a dance background. Please don't think you can just buy a wheel then bust out these moves. And, behind these calm pictures of me in perfect pose are about 100 of me falling on my head and grunting in exhaustion! Definitely not easy. But most definitely rewarding!

If this is a fad, it's a pretty darn fun one![].(
