Yahoo Finance lists Steem (and 100+ other cryptocurrencies)
This is another pretty big signal that cryptocurrencies are finally getting mainstream attention - yahoo finance just added listings for 108 different cryptocurrencies .
The main listing is available in a new cryptocurrencies section of the site :
The data is coming from the CryptoCompare api , giving access to all the essential info for the top 100 cryptocurrencies by trading volume.
Unfortunately the summary information listed is incorrect and needs to be updated :(
Historic trading data is also available going back to April 17th 2016 .

I believe it should be closer to $20-$30 usd per steem, it's way undervalued compared to other cryptocurrencies with less users and capabilities

It's really hard to say, all of the crypto markets are crazy right now. If btc has a serious reversal and consolidation I would expect a drop short term, but as we approach the launch of HF20 and Smart Media Tokens I assume less people will be willing to dump that much..

That's awesome! Today steemit also went below $700 at alexa rank, jumping about 100 positions in about 4 days. 2018 is gonna be so exciting and with all the long-awaited features coming up (e.g. communities) everybody is gonna talk about it!

There is definately an upsurge in interest. If we build up our own eco-system as much as we possibly can, it will accelerate STEEM becoming widely accepted. STEEM is faster, free to transfer, and tied to content creation, none of wich applies to BTC.
