Lab leak theory on the rise again.

If it's true that COVID came from a Chinese lab, and if it's also true that China tried to cover up its involvement and failed to tell the world all that its scientists knew about the virus as soon as it began to spread beyond China, then shouldn't legal action be taken against China, by the United States and many other nations, to recover billions upon billions of dollars for economic damage, human suffering, and the death of millions? Aren't punitive damages also called for in this case?

If a company caused this much damage, it would be sued into bankruptcy and its corporate officers might well face criminal charges. Shouldn't the rulers and the government of the People's Republic of China likewise be required to "face the music," to pay the people of the world for the businesses forced to shut down, for individuals' loss of income, for the pain, suffering, and death that their gross negligence and their wilful actions have caused all around the world? . . .
