Writing Impact Challenge Entry | 'One Earth Remembering'

One Earth Remembering

Like a shadow cast out of alignment

I fell out of sequence, for a moment

Everything went Silent

Breath went tight within my chest and

Eyes started burning in my head

Then... Rhythm,

the pounding of my breath and feet

All Eyes on Me, Lights pointing and chasing

Running to find a way to Be Free of slavery

See the walls are closing in on We

The program is designed to devastate,

the thread of Hope that continues always to motivate

Pause, Breathe

Beyond Captivity, there is a Love shining

through the cracks

We All search for places of Peace

Hands and feet kicking and pushing for their Piece

Imagine when the shelters made for our Serenity

Emerge as truly the homes of our enemy's

Eating away the last beautyfull rays of Innocence

Beyond Sorrow, beyond Pain

Where do we go when there is nowhere Safe?

Reaching out to the Wind, I Ache

I am desperate, lost and forsaked

Hidden Fire rises in the language of

Thirsty and tired

How much can one Soul take?

How Silent can One remain?

Where is our support

Where is our Strength?

Listen, a bluebird sings songs to the Sun

Dandelions are growing like wild weeds long

Trees continue to Dream and to Reach

The Sun always shines Invisible Healing

Dirt everywhere, Always under my Feet

Waterfalls flow Cool, Whispering, Playing

Focusing on the Fire spark brings New clarity

Burn the Sage and bathe Smoke over everything

Remember who I used to be

Way way way before All war, All killing

One with Joy, One with Living

One with Earth, One with Giving

One with Music, One with Rhythm

One with Trees, One with Wisdom

One with Death, One with Release

One with this Holy Masterpiece

Thank you so much to @rensoul17 for putting forth this challenge and for the beautiful words chosen to prompt the creativity.

These words really brought me into a beautiful space of Remembrance. I had a vision of the wholeness of creation, from the suffering, pain and destruction we experience individually and on Collective scale, to the Peace, Joy and absolute Empowerment that we each are capable of. My poem expresses the feelings of complete loss and hopelessness, to show how that is the exact point in time when we can turn it All around and let everything go.

The cycles circle Infinitely!

We return to Joy and Love through realizing we are One with All of it, even the parts we don't like.

We find Peace through coming into tune with the Nature of reality with humbleness, acceptance, gratitude for the Grace that is allowed us to walk this Lovely Earth.

Thank you for reading my Entry, and for this opportunity to express myself. I look forward to more challenges in the future!

May All beings have the chance to Live in Peace, Love and Harmony

while our approach to poetry might contrast in many ways, I can feel in your words what I feel in the world: a want to reconnect with this mother earth, the beauty of nature, of peace, of mindfulness in the analog.

In a world so dependent on technology, I think - in the way the first half of your poem narrates - it can be so easy to get lost.

Remembering who we used to be and where we are from (stardust and the dirt of the earth) is so important!

Thank you for the share @onewithearth. z_thank_you.png

yes! thank you so much for reading and for recognizing the purpose of the words, it means a lot to me <3
By connecting to the deep roots of who we are We All can grow up as big strong beautyFULL trees!
Nature works together in symbiosis, that's what humans can learn from.
It is really important that we continue to bring these reminder to each other.
many thanks & blessings to you

I always try to put as much effort into reading the words, as to at least be able to look up to that which went into them.

Honored to have been able to sit by this tree with you and be at rest and listen.

The writing is beautiful @onewithearth Thank you for your entry.

thank you too! glad to make it in to the contest <3 the words you choose really inspired me :-)
