Mom says life' s like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get Forrest Gump

My favorite movie? Forever will be: Forrest Gump

Wow! All right, a challenge I love. Talking about movies fascinates me.

My favorite movie ever? I've said that in other posts. I have many that are my favorite: The Godfather, Goodfellas, Dancing with Wolves, Back to the Future and others. But if I have to choose just one, it would be a special movie, which I don't get tired of watching over and over again. Engraved forever in my film memory, I watch it as often as I can, without getting tired. Feeling the same emotions as the first time I saw it.

My favorite movie is Forrest Gump. Why? Simple, it's a film that you can tell was made with a love of cinema. Love to tell fabulous stories. Love to do things right.

Tom Hanks was already a star when Forrest Gump came out. The poster wasn't a shocker. He, playing Forrest, sitting at a bus stop. It was simple, minimalist. That struck me, I've always liked minimalist design. Less is more. The week of its premiere in my city, I went to see it immediately.

Where did I see it? I remember it perfectly. In a cinema that was called Cine Rialto, at that time it was one of the best cinemas in my city. It was before the boom of multiplexes in shopping malls. When it was more pleasant to go to a movie theater.

Forrest Gump is a masterpiece.

That's what I think. Because it's a kind of movie that touches the heart of the viewer. From the first minute we loved Forrest Gump. Telling us little bits of 20th century American history through the eyes of a special person like Forrets. That's the magic of cinema made real.

Like all my favorite movies, I keep it on old DVDs. But this film is always shown on pro-cable television. And every time my daughters tell me it's on, I sit down and watch it. My daughters like it too and they come with me to enjoy Forrest's adventures. That's also thanks to the magic of the seventh art. The films bring us closer and you can enjoy them with your loved ones.

An anecdote: when I went to the cinema for the first time. During its final part, when Forrest is in front of Jenny's grave. I cried with that scene. I was broken up by Jenny's death and Forrest's words. That scene still makes me want to cry. It's amazing, I've spent so much time and it makes me feel the same sadness. That's good cinema!

My favorite part? Uuuff The whole film. I like everything, from Forrest's "My Mom Said" line. The sequence of Bubba telling Forrest all the ways to prepare the shrimp. I laughed like the first time. But the one that gets me really excited is the scene when Forrest's kid goes to Jenny, the other kids tease them and Jenny says, Run, Forrest, run! Our main character runs around breaking the special parts in his legs, becoming the fastest boy. That's great! Don't you get excited when you hear Run, Forrest, Run?

The actors are fabulous. But which is my favorite actor and character. Jenny, played by Robin Wright I'm in love. Beautiful! The scene when they meet again in the middle of the demonstration against the Vietnam War. Another scene that gets me excited like a child.

But the one that's really my favorite, is the character of Lieutenant Dan, played by Gary Sinise. The best character in the movie. Bitter because Forrest saves his life, while he wants to die in battle, like all his ancestors. That character is totally insane. The storm scene, fighting with God and challenging him to sink the Hahaha ship. The special effects to simulate that both legs were missing, was the most advanced in effects for the time.

I also think everybody likes this film. It's hard to get someone to say they don't like it. Of course there must be a hater. But most people love it. Both young and old love it. What do you think of this film? Is it also one of your favourites?
