RE: Creative Writing Challenge - Task #3 - The Disruption

in #writing8 years ago

Well done @flemingfarm!

Ah, I see so many things I'd like to comment.

Somehow I knew that the pergola at the very first paragraph was doomed. The decision to choose a protagonist that's not on the airplane is also refreshing.

Apart from that, aren't there any kind of insurance for people nearby airports?

Sort:

Thank you.
I am not sure if home owners insurance covers airplane debris damage in the covered claims. I'm sure it would be in the fine print that it would be considered an act-of-god and therefore not covered.

The picture is from a distance of the plane so I wasn't drawn onto the plane, laser like. It was more of a trebuchet shot and I fell in between the plane and your spot. The keyword of plane can be a bit leading, so I looked more at the picture than the plane.

I liked this challenge and the free form nature of it. The only "box" is the image provided but that is the motivation.

I guess you are right about the insurance. Yeah, it's a nice approach to change the point of view an use a different protagonist.

You should see the upcoming post with the rules for Task #4. The freedom of the form will be still there.
